What are we looking for?

We are seeking a professional to support the Bank's liquidity management and transfer operations, contributing to the effective administration of financial resources and the timely fulfillment of institutional obligations.

The position will be responsible for administering bank accounts, executing and verifying payments, managing the availability of funds in local and international accounts, and coordinating operational support with offices, financial institutions, and other counterparties. The role will ensure transaction accuracy, operational security, process continuity, and the efficient use of financial resources.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a highly controlled and technically rigorous environment, with a strong focus on quality, risk management, compliance with procedures, and the continuous improvement of treasury-related processes.

This position is part of the Treasury and Financial Assets and Liabilities Management Department, reporting to the Vice Presidency of Finance, and contributes to strengthening the Bank's financial management and achieving its institutional objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the availability of funds across the Bank’s bank accounts, ensuring the timely fulfillment of payments and financial obligations.
  • Administer institutional bank accounts, ensuring their proper operation and control.
  • Process, verify, and monitor payments and transfers, ensuring transaction accuracy and traceability.
  • Execute and confirm payment transactions, ensuring timely and accurate settlement.
  • Manage liquidity and cash balances in local and international accounts, optimizing the availability of financial resources.
  • Propose and implement improvements to treasury and banking operations processes, strengthening efficiency and internal controls.
  • Analyze and resolve operational issues using tools and methodologies that support efficient and reliable operations.
  • Provide support to Country Offices in the management of payment instruments, ensuring business continuity and operational effectiveness.
  • Administer corporate cards and manage operational relationships with associated financial institutions, ensuring appropriate control and oversight.
  • Undertake national and international travel as required by institutional needs.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Specialization or postgraduate diploma in Finance or related fields (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Intermediate proficiency in English will be considered an asset.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of general experience in Treasury and/or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in functions related to liquidity management, payments, bank account administration, and financial transactions.
  • Experience in multilateral development banks, international organizations, public sector entities, or financial institutions will be considered an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Treasury, liquidity, and cash flow management.
  • Banking operations and corporate bank account administration.
  • Domestic and international payments, transfers, and payment instruments.
  • Financial, banking, and accounting analysis.
  • Cash management and transaction reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in financial platforms and banking systems, including SWIFT, Bloomberg, and electronic banking platforms.
  • Operational controls management and continuous improvement of treasury processes.
  • Administration of corporate cards and related banking services.
