Brazilian city of Itapevi benefits from a USD 29-million loan

FONPLATA – Development Bank grants a USD 29-million loan to the Municipality of Itapevi, State of São Paulo. The funds will be used for a program to improve the city's urban quality through roadworks and installation of drainage system.

The construction of connections to improve vehicular circulation, the increase of public transportation routes, and the reduction of flood risks in the areas surrounding the São João and Vale do Sol streams are some of the actions planned.

The municipality of Itapevi is 36 km far from the capital city of São Paulo state, has 232,500 inhabitants, and currently suffers from severe traffic congestion and constant flooding.
