Moody's affirms FONPLATA’s A2 long term risk rating with stable outlook

FONPLATA

Moody's report, published on February 2, maintained FONPLATA's A2 credit rating with a stable outlook.

The rating agency's decision is based on the Bank's high intrinsic financial strength, supported by strong capital adequacy, ample liquidity, and very strong asset performance, keeping a zero non-performing asset ratio, one of the strongest asset performance ratios of all multilateral development banks rated by Moody's.

On the other hand, and within the framework of Moody's methodology, FONPLATA's high cushion of callable capital stands out, demonstrating the high willingness of its member countries to support the Bank.

The stable outlook reflects the expectation that, even as FONPLATA continues to leverage to increase funding to its member countries, its capital adequacy and liquidity position will remain strong and stable around current levels.

Moody's expects that member countries will continue to support the Bank, including through authorized capital contributions in the coming years, according to the proposal of the last Executive Board of Directors meeting, which will be submitted for approval to the Board of Governors.
