FONPLATA celebrates its 50th anniversary at Casa de la Libertad
FONPLATA — Development Bank celebrated its 50th anniversary with a formal dinner at Casa de la Libertad in Sucre, Bolivia, on Tuesday, June 11, with the presence of local authorities, international guests, diplomatic corps, and Bank staff.
The commemorative evening celebrated the Bank's significant achievements and contributions to regional development and highlighted its commitment to the integration and development of the region.
Casa de La Libertad provided a historic and emblematic environment for activities such as the Awaj Warmi textile exhibition, musical performances by national ballets and groups, and the presentation of a commemorative video.
Mario Linares, Director of Casa de La Libertad, highlighted the historical importance of the venue and FONPLATA's contribution to the region: “It is not easy to reach 50 years and here you are. It is a great honor to have you here, in Casa de La Libertad, the place of the first cry for freedom in the Americas and the foundation of Bolivia.”
FONPLATA's Executive President, Luciana Botafogo, highlighted the beauty of Sucre and emphasized the Bank's commitment to the development of its members: “We thank Sucre for receiving us, FONPLATA was born here and we are back to celebrate 50 years of work which, together with the efforts of our staff and the support of other multilateral organizations, led us to exponential growth that allows us to continue supporting various projects in our countries and the region.”
