On Friday, January 19, the 192^nd Meeting of the Executive Board of Directors was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the participation of representatives from all FONPLATA's member countries.

During the meeting, a USD 325 million loan to Uruguay was approved for the Universal Sanitation Program in localities in the countryside, which will expand the coverage of sanitary sewerage services and reduce the water pollution load.

The increase in the Bank's authorized capital to USD 6.5 billion was also discussed. The Executive Directors agreed with the increase and will submit the proposal to the Board of Governors for approval.

Finally, it was announced that FONPLATA's new Articles of Agreement will enter into force on January 27.
