Paraguay takes over the Presidency of FONPLATA’s Board of Governors

In the 19th Meeting of the Governors of the Development Bank, held on November 24, the Governor representing Paraguay, Óscar Llamosas Díaz, was elected to be the President of the Agency.

The Board of Governors was held online with the participation of authorities of all FONPLATA member countries: Gabriela Mendoza, Bolivian Minister of National Development Planning; Roberto Fendt, Special Secretary for Foreign Trade and Affairs of the Brazilian Ministry of Economy; Óscar Llamosas Díaz, Paraguayan Minister of Finance; Azucena Arbeleche, Uruguayan Minister of Economy and Finance; and Marcos Vago, National Director for Funding with Regional Credit Agencies of the Argentine Secretary of Strategic Affairs.

The Alternate Governors and members of the Executive Board of Directors of FONPLATA also joined the meeting: Christian Asinelli and María Laura Pellegrini representing Argentina; Mike Gemio representing Bolivia; Erivaldo Gomes and Marcos Guimarães representing Brazil; Carmen Marín, Oscar Pérez, and Francisco Ogura representing Paraguay; and Fernando Scelza and Mariella Maglia representing Uruguay.
