On February 25 and 26, a delegation from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) visited FONPLATA's headquarters in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, to conduct a mission related to the execution of the current credit line.
During the working sessions, representatives from different areas discussed operational, financial, and socio-environmental details of the operation. In addition, actions were planned to ensure an adequate pace of execution throughout 2025, with completion scheduled for March 2026.
The activity was attended by the Vice President of Operations and Countries, Eliana Dam, and the IDB's Head of Operations in Argentina, Denise Obara, who highlighted the good pace of loan execution through operations in Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil, and emphasized the continuous institutional strengthening of FONPLATA in terms of gender, diversity, and inclusion, as well as socio-environmental and climate issues.
The outcome of the meeting was the decision to highlight the lessons learned from joint work, with a view to the possible approval of a second phase of the line of credit to allow the further deepening of the strategic complementarity of both institutions, the regional economic, ecosystemic, and productive integration, as well as the strengthening of the executing agencies’ capacities.
