FONPLATA completes registration of Public Offering Program in Mexico
On October 29th, the “Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores” from México (CNBV for its acronym in Spanish) issued a favorable resolution for the preventive registration of FONPLATA's Long-Term Bond Program in the National Securities Registry. In addition, the CNBV authorized the public offering of these bonds and the distribution of the corresponding Offering Prospectus.
The following key points of the Program are highlighted below:
1. Amount: The Program has a maximum authorized amount of up to 20 billion Mexican pesos, or its equivalent in Investment Units (UDIs) or U.S. dollars, on a revolving basis, provided that the total amount of outstanding issuances at any given time does not exceed this limit.
2. Term: 5 years.
3. Issuance Duration: Bonds issued under the Program may have terms ranging from 1 to 30 years.
4. Terms and Conditions: The amount, interest rate, and maturity of each issuance will be determined upon FONPLATA's access to the market.
This authorization does not affect FONPLATA’s debt level until the first issuance under the Program is made.
Finally, registering this Program with the CNBV is a key step in FONPLATA’s strategy to diversify its funding sources through the capital markets. This initiative reinforces the institution's commitment to accessing new financing options that will enhance and expand its ability to support member countries and provide competitive and sustainable financial conditions in the long term.
